The first GGSIPU application period for the 2026 academic year ended on May 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM. However, with dates and rounds differing by program, centralized online counseling registration and option filling for national-level admission tests (such as JEE Main, CLAT, or CUET) are already being implemented.

Candidates for GGSIP University B.Tech  Admissions must have passed the 10+2 exam from an accredited board with a minimum of 55% in applicable disciplines.

For admission to the majority of UG and PG programs, the institution administers an internal entrance exam called IPU CET. The IPU CET 2026 was conducted by GGSIPU from April 25 to May 23, 2026.

In addition, students may apply and be admitted depending on their performance in certain subjects on the CUET, JEE Main, CAT, MAT, etc. IPU CET will no longer be used for B.Tech admissions starting in 2026. Candidates are chosen for the B.Tech program based on their JEE Main or CUET results.

The GGSIPU counselling process for various courses is underway, and students can still apply for admission for the academic year 2026-27.

• B.Tech (Spot Round): On July 18, 2026, in-person registration and document verification for the remaining seats will take place.
• Registration for IPU BTech 2026 Round 2 counseling is now available. The deadline for finishing the online registration procedure is July 15, 2026. By July 16, 2026, the IPU B.Tech 2026 Round 2 seat allocation results will be made public.
• Registration for GGSIPU PG Admission 2026 is now open. The application form must be submitted before July 20, 2026.

Lateral Entry 2026

A three-year or two-year B.Tech  (Lateral Entry) program is also available at IPU for second or third-year entry, respectively. IP University provides a full-time, six-year B.Tech  - M. After JEE Main counselling, the GGSIPU cut-off for Round 1 for BTech was made public on the official website (ipu.admissions.nic.in). B.Tech  Admission Counselling 2026

It is the officials who are handling B.Tech  counselling at GGSIPU. Authorities select every registered candidate, and based on their eligibility, a merit list is created.
