IPU CET 2026 Result Release Date

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) announced the IPU CET 2026 results for April 25 and 26 on May 3, while May 2 and 3 results were made public on May 10, and May 9 and 10 results were made public on May 17, 2026.

The IPU rank list for 2026 and cut-offs for admission will be available on the university's official website soon.

For UG courses, the online counseling procedure for IPU CET admission will start on June 2 and run until August 3, 2026; offline counseling will take place from May 19 to June 26, 2026, while IPU CET counseling for postgraduate courses will take place online from June 2 to August 3, 2026, and offline from June 3 to August 13, 2026.

IPU CET 2026 Final Answer Key Dates

The final answer keys were released on May 3, 10, 17, and 22, for the exams held on April 25 and 26, May 2 and 3, May 9 and 10, and May 16 and 17, respectively. The final answer key and results for the May 23 exams will be released soon.

GGSIPU released the IPU CET 2026 provisional answer key and response sheets in several batches for all exams held from April 25 to May 23, 2026, just a few hours after the exams were concluded on the same day, initiating a 3-day challenge window immediately.

Students were given a 3-day window to file their objections by paying INR 200 per objection for each exam, which were concluded on May 20, 2026.

The final answer keys for the exams held on April 25 and 26, 2026, were released on May 3, 2026, while the final answer keys for the rest of the exams will be released in Late May 2026, just a few days before the results are announced.

What Role IPU CET 2026 Answer Key Play in Calculating the IPU CET 2026 Result?

The IPU CET 2026 answer key will be used to calculate and announce the IPU CET 2026 result.

A few days before the IPU CET 2026 is announced, the GGSIPU release the IPU CET 2026 answer key– provisional answer key, followed by the final answer key. 

The provisional answer keys were released immediately after the exams were concluded on each day, while the final answer keys were released along with the results in several batches. Students were given a challenge window to raise objections, starting from the date of each exam till the next 3 days. The final answer key and results were released on May 3, 10, 17, and 22, for exams held from April 25 to May 17, 2026.

Students can use the IPU CET 2026 answer key to calculate their final scores before the release of the results and file an objection against an answer if they are not satisfied with it. Therefore, results are released only after all the objections are resolved correctly.

After the final answer key and results are announced, no request for challenging an answer will be entertained.  

When will the IPU CET 2026 Result be Released?

The IPU CET 2026 results and final answer keys were released on May 3, 10, 17, and 22, for the exams held on April 25 and 26, May 2 and 3, May 9 and 10, and May 16 and 17, respectively. The results for the last exam day of May 23 will be released soon.

• BE/B. Tech students do not take the IPU CET. The JEE Main result determines admission to BE/B. Tech programs and those who are chosen will be contacted to attend the IPU CET counseling in 2026.
• B. Tech (Bio-Technology) and B. Tech (Lateral Entry) courses will be offered at IPU CET 2026 after the university releases the IPU CET 2026 results.

What Happens after the Release of the IPU CET 2026 Result?

Since the IPU CET 2026 results have been out, the IPU CET 2026 Cut-Off for each course is expected to be announced separately in the first week of June 2026. The university will also publish the IPU rank list 2026 on its official website soon.

Based on their ranks, the candidates will be assigned seats throughout the counseling procedure set to take place in both online and offline modes, throughout June and August 2026. However, only those who receive valid JEE Main cut-off marks will be accepted into the B. Tech program. To finish the admissions process, the shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend the IPU CET 2026 counseling.

After the counselling is over, candidates will be allotted seats in various courses and colleges, depending on their interests, capabilities, and availability of seats, across several rounds.

IPU CET 2026 Counselling Dates and Documents Required

The IPU CET counseling for UG courses has already begun in offline mode from May 19 for UG courses that will run through June 26, 2026. Online counselling will start on June 2 and conclude on August 3 for the same.

For postgraduate courses, the IPU CET counselling will start from June 2 and conclude on August 3 in online mode, while offline counselling for the same will be conducted from June 3 to August 13, 2026.

The university will shortly post the official dates on its website, ipu.ac.in. The counselling process will run in several rounds, including the spot round.

To fill open seats, a spot counseling round will also be held following the admissions process. At the time of counseling, candidates must bring the original copies of the following documents:

Candidates' inter-se-merit is prepared by the university based on their admission exam scores. A merit list is used to determine admissions.

Students who make the merit list shortlist will be able to access counseling. The IPU CET merit list will be made public in early June 2026.

Tie-breaking Requirements

Candidates who scored the same overall on the IPU CET 2026 exam will be ranked using the tie-breaking standards outlined below while the merit list is being created:

• In the case of a tie, candidates with higher scores will be ranked higher.
• In the case of a tie, candidates who try fewer wrong answers or more right ones will be ranked higher.
• If there is a tie, the applicants' dates of birth shall be considered in descending order.
• If there is still a tie, the names of the candidates shall be considered in alphabetical order.

How to Calculate IPU CET 2026 Scores?

Students must compute their grades after downloading the solution key. Students need to be aware of the exam marking scheme to determine their IPU CET score. The IPU CET marking scheme is available to candidates below:

• There are 100 questions in all.
• The test has 400 total points.
• Four points will be given for each right response.
• One mark will be subtracted for each wrong response.

For instance, an applicant answered 80 questions in total (80*4 = 320), with 70 of those answers being right and 10 being incorrect. The test's final score will be 80 * 4 - 10 * 5 = 270.

IPU CET 2026 Answer Key Release Date

The release date of the provisional IPU CET 2026 answer key was the same as the date on which each exam took place. GGSIPU released the provisional answer keys a few hours after each exam was concluded on the same day. Thus, immediately initiated a separate 3-day challenge window for each subject.

The challenge window for all exams held from April 25 to May 23, 2026, has concluded. The final answer key for all subjects, except the exams that took place on May 23, has been released alongside the results on May 3, 10, 17, and 22.
