• Showing up for the AKTU-conducted counselling process.

For other management UG and PG programs, applicants may submit their CAT, MAT, XAT, and CMAT exam results. Apart from accepting GATE, NET, and GPAT scores for Ph.D. courses, AKTU also accepts a research-based entrance exam and conducts an interview process for Ph.D. admission.

AKTU Admission 2026: B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• To apply for a B. Tech program, candidates must have completed the Class 12 syllabus from the UP board, CBSE, or any equivalent board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
• Candidates must obtain a minimum of 45% in the 12th exam. On the other hand, candidates from SC/ST categories must have completed the 12th class with a minimum of 40% in these disciplines.
• Applicants for B. Tech must clear the JEE Mains exam and NATA for B. Arch programs. AKTU provides 20% seats for JEE Main-qualified students.
• Candidates seeking AKTU admission 2026 to the B. Tech program through lateral entry must meet distinct requirements. To apply for a B. Tech (LE), candidates must complete a three- or four-year diploma in any field of engineering or technology with at least a 60% aggregate from an institution recognized by the UP Board of Technical Education, except for agriculture engineering.
• Only applicants to the second year of Agriculture Engineering who have completed a three- or four-year diploma with at least a 50% aggregate from an institution approved by the UP Board of Technical Education may apply.

Note: Transferring from another university to AKTU is not allowed. However, if they fail, a student from an affiliated college or institution or a student enrolled in any other university may be permitted to transfer to the university.

NRI & Kashmiri Migrants Quota: Of the total number of available seats, 5% will go toward the NRI quota. In every institution, a single place would be reserved for the son or daughter of Kashmiri migrants.

AKTU Admission 2026 for UG Courses

• Courses offered: B.Tech, B. Pharm, B. Arch, BFA, B. Des, BBA, BHMCT, and B. Voc.

• Courses Offered: M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M. Pharm, M. Arch, M. Plan, and M. Des
• Eligibility Criteria: Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with a minimum of 50% marks earned (45% for SC/ST). Admission to an M.Tech program requires a GATE score.
• Duration: 2 years for all PG programs
